When providing submissions for Kadena Community Work Board Bounties, the following process must be explicitly followed to ensure successful payment of bounties for approved projects. Please be sure to thoroughly review the information on this page to ensure you’re aware of all requirements associated with participation in the Kadena Community Work Board.


Joining the Kadena Community Work Board

In response to our decentralized Community Advisory Board’s vote on CAB-3, Kadena will be prioritizing community-led development. Kadena’s Community Work Board is now LIVE and available to all builders and community members.

To join:

  1. Use this link to accept our invite to the Kadena Community Work Board on Wonderverse.

    1. You can create an account with your MetaMask wallet, WalletConnect, Discord, or Email.

  2. Once you’ve accepted your invite, you’re in! You can then explore the current Bounties available to the community

    1. If you see something you are interested in, start building.
    2. Once you’re ready to submit, be sure to review the Bounty Submission Process outlined below.
    3. Our team will review your submission.
  3. You are also able to submit your own Proposals for projects you’d like to see built.

    1. These submissions will be reviewed by the Kadena team and may end up being one of the next Tooling projects coming to the board.

Bounty Submission Process

This board is for you, the community, to get involved and bring some of the most asked-for and useful tools & solutions to life quickly. Once you’re ready to submit your work and claim your first bounty, you will follow the simple steps outlined below, and our team will get started reviewing your submission.

  1. On the individual bounty you’d like to submit for, click on Make a Submission , ****which will prompt a modal for you to provide some information along with your submission.
    1. In the Summary field, outline your approach for the submission, and include any relevant decisions you made along the way. This may include:
      1. Architectural Decisions
      2. External dependencies
      3. Libraries included as part of the submission
    2. In the Link field, provide a link to the Github repo that contains your solution.
      1. You are able to add additional links by clicking the + icon, should you need to add any additional links or references here as well.
    3. There’s also an option to upload files directly on the submission.
  2. Once you’ve sent in your submission, our team will be notified and it will be add to our review queue.
  3. Once reviewed, there are a few ways things may proceed:
    1. We may require additional context from you to complete the review, which you’ll be notified as a Request for Changes

      1. This will be directly in Wonderverse, and you’ll be able to edit your submission directly to either correct part of the submission or provide additional information as requested.
    2. The submission may be Rejected if it doesn’t meet the qualifications/standards outlined for the Bounty.

      1. The Kadena Team reserves the right to reject any submission at any time for any reason, but we’re here to help and provide feedback on all submissions we receive.
      2. Depending on volume received, this may prove more difficult, so bear with us.
    3. The submission may be Accepted, at which point, we’ll need some additional information so we can get you paid! In order to participate in Kadena's community-led development projects and be eligible to receive bounty payments, one must first complete the **Contributor KYC Form** which will request the following:

      1. Completion of the **SumSub KYC** form.
        1. This helps us securely verify your identity to legally process KDA payments off-platform.
      2. Full Name
      3. Email
      4. Discord Username
      5. Country of Residence, for tax purposes
      6. Wallet Address for Payment
        1. If you exceed $600 in total earnings, Kadena may request a completed tax form (W-9 for US persons, W-8BEN for non-US persons).
        2. If this tax form is not/cannot be provided, Kadena may withhold tax from the payment directly. For more info, see the next section.
